Former President Barack Obama swapped military deserter Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban terrorists years ago.
Everyone knew this was a bad idea at the time.
Simply just from the perspective of negotiating with terrorists to begin with.
Good men have died trying to find Bergdahl, who was more than happy to remain with the enemy. Bowe was trying to weasel his way out of his current trial by claiming that President Donald Trump’s words affected the way people viewed him. Now, a military judge just told him to remain quiet.
According to our source, USA Politics Today, a military judge denied a motion by attorneys for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl to dismiss his case in light of comments made by President Donald Trump. Col. Jeffery Nance said on Monday that President Donald Trump’s criticism has not prevented Bergdahl from having a fair sentencing hearing.
Berghdahl. who abandoned his post in Afghanistan on June 30, 2009, and then was captured by the Taliban, faced life in prison. He was released in 2014 in a prisoner swap by former President Barack Obama, which was criticized by President Donald Trump and other Republicans.
While running for president, President Donald Trump disparaged Bowe, 31, as a “dirty rotten traitor,” and called for him to be executed by firing squad or tossed out of a plane with no parachute.
“I was trying to do something good and it turned bad,” Bergdahl said, reading from a statement at the beginning of his testimony. “My words alone can’t relieve the pain. … I think about what I did every day for the last eight years.”
Bowe Berghdahl does not deserve any empathy. His tears do not mean a thing when it comes to justice. He is a bad man.
